I want to build a site that doesn't have to be terribly big cause business won't be that busy but i know it may pick up and expand as i add more to it.

Is a free site good, i will be selling products and books from new authorts. How do i set that up so that up to get paid and can i use free domain or free address?

  1. Godaddy.com has some very inexpensive packages for webhosting and building online shopping systems.

I would steer clear of "free" web hosting as they require you to have a portion of your page dedicated to advertising or banners from their service.

Also, a lot of free hosting sites don't allow you to use your own domain name (www.myname.com) which you will defiantly want if you are going to be selling items online.

  3. Free domains are usually filled with advertisements. Either that, or the address is simply not very good for commercial business.

If you wanna start your own business, I would suggest you buying off a domain. However, a domain name is a crucial factor in whether your business will expand. A domain name on the internet demonstrate your credibility, together with the actual content of the site.

If you have a domain from geocities or bloggers for that matter, you would most probably not gain too many business since these domain addresses aren't very easy to memorize.

Free sites sometimes will not let you sell either, as well as all the advertising, here is a list of several hosting sites, hope it helps
