    look up the source of the address and use a domain lookup tool.

  3. try seaching with that email id with every domain =)>.

    Simple. If the person visits Yahoo Answers, you know the person has Yahoo.com or some other version of Yahoo. And if the person's answers id is his/her yahoo id, that makes it more obvious- not that we all use our yahoo id on answers. I don't. But clicking on someone's avatar, and you see the person's contact info, next to avatar, as a result. But if you have the time to spare, you could search every domain you can think of. Or even write the person id at the most probable or possible domains. The one you get a reply from, is the correct one.

  5. try to recall where did u get the id from
    if it was in chat for eg like during chat on yahoo u can use yahoo.com or yahoo.co.(try ur luck at this)
    or if it was in personal try to ask the 3rd person to get the domain for u
    n if still not able to get it 4get it
