yahoo hosts my domain "zippysdrinkanddrive".why doesn't it open without jumping thru hoops?

It opened fine for me first time!
I think the question you really should be asking is 'why can't I find it in search engines?'.
As zippysdrinkanddrive.com is your domain you can do many things to get it available through search engines. This is broadly known as 'Search Engine Optimization' (link below).
'SEO' just refers to techniques to get your site into search engines.
You can do this yourself, or get a company to do it for you.
Remember that Yahoo! recommends that your content is of value, and good quality.
Just because you have a site on the internet, doesn't mean a search engine should include it!
