How do I find the domain and range of these?

Well, I would say just graph the function on your graphing calculator and see what the answer is.

Not sure about the first one… But the domain would be all of the real numbers where -cos x is a real number.
2) Domain= all real number Range= all positive numbers.
3) Domain= all real numbers greater than or equal to -3 and less than 3. Range= all real numbers from 9 to 0 (including 9 and 0)

Domain: all possible values of x
Range: all possible values of y
1) Domain: all real numbers, since cos x is defined for alle real numbers. Range: [-1,1] since the cos function varies between -1 and 1
2) Domain: all real numbers, since x^2 is defined for all real numbers. Range [1, inf) since x^2 is alway equal to or greater than 0
3) Domain [-3,3]. Since sqrt is only defined for non-negative numbers. Range: [0,3]
