Where best to host my blog?

Use wordpress (or code yourself) and host your site for free on 789mb.com (no ads, good storage and bandwith, allows php en mysql)

http://wordpress.org/ – used by many of the big name bloggers – also has some hosting recommendations, BUT if you are just wanting to set up a simple blog the hosting through WP is free
http://www.livejournal.com/ – Again a free host for a simple blog vehicle – has over 13mill journals online
https://www.blogger.com/start – Google's Blogger.com is one of the simplest easy-to-ues interfaces for new bloggers – although they have moved towards making you have a gmail account to log-in with – which is OK if you don't mind being part of Google's world wide info monopoly objective.
