Adding extra domains to a godaddy host account?
Posted on Feb 27, 2009 under GoDaddy.com | 61 CommentsI am trying to add two domains to one host account with godaddy.com, im not sure if I can (can I?) and if I can, how do I do it. I am able to add sub-domains fine with no problem and I thought adding a domain so it pointed to a folder would work but I am having trouble. If anyone has any ideas I would much appreciate it.

make sure you have deluxe or premium hosting.
ecomomy hosting doesnt support additional domains.

It depends on your server… you would need another domain reserved, yes. But for a server like Apache, routing tables and virtual host files enable the easy routing so that when you open a domain, the proper folder is addressed from the server. Example, not exact(more like psuedocode for the hosts file):
from /etc/apache2/site-available/default,
….
foosite.com
points to /home/mysites/barsite/index.html
zoosite.com
points to /home/mysites/doosite/index.html
