When you create a website on GoDaddy.com, is it just the name of your site.com or does it have like godaddy/?

Like does it have something like godaddy/(thenameofyoursite).com or something like that? or is it like a real website. like if i was naming it basketballstuff, would it be basketballstuff.com or something like basketballstuff.godaddy.com or godaddy.basketballstuff.com?

  1. It's just the name of your site. You don't have the GoDaddy name anywhere in your address. But, you need to buy the domain (which GoDaddy sells). Then, you just have http://www.yourdomain.com as your Internet address.

    Once you get more experience and you learn more on subdomains, you can have basketball.mydomain.com or baseball.mydomain.com and all of which are yours. Just like there is http://www.yahoo.com but also mail.yahoo.com and sports.yahoo.com and so on.

    Godaddy is a domain and hosting company. When you book a name say basketballstuff.com then you will only get http://www.basketballstuff.com. You will not find any where godaddy rather than your server name or domain company name.
