Don't buy from either. Both are bargain basement sellers with minimal features. You get what you pay for. Dotster and registerapi are low cost but reasonable services. If you do decide to get your domain name with godaddy or netfirms, don't make the mistake of hosting your site with them. Most of the young kids who don't know what they are doing use places like this based solely on price, then they are sorry later.

If you are going to need hosting afterwards then I suggest you visit http://www.hostingcouponoffer.com they come with a free domain name for life and unlimited webspace.
Use the discount code at the top of the page for 25% off their cheap price plans starting at $4.84 a month.
I have several sites with thema nd have been more than happy with their 24 hour support.
Hope this helps you, Louise

Godaddy is the worlds biggest domain registrar.
The price of a .com domain is usually $10.00 but you can get it for $7.49 if you use the link at the bottom of this page http://www.hosttell.com
P.S. If you want to create a website you also have to buy web hosting.

Don’t trust any cheap service, many of them don’t allow you to have full control on your domain name. If you’re going to buy domain names, http://www.goldpuma.com is the lowest cost service which is full-featured and really works for you ($9.99). They offer free extras with every domain name:
Quick Blogcast
Hosting with Web site builder
Personalized Email Account

Domain Forwarding
Domain Masking
100-Pack Email Forwarding
Total DNS Control
Change of Registration
Status Alerts
