okay well i have an account with godaddy.com, but i think i only have a domain NAME with them. im looking for free hosting that i can use my currently registered name with. its a layout site, and i have a layout for the domain… but none of the hosting sites ive seen has an option for that. can someone give me a link, or instructions?

Connecting to GoDaddy issues… anyone else?

I maintain a website for a committee that I'm on. I have days that I have some serious issues connecting to godaddy to update the website. I try via their ftp client and I try via FileZilla. "Cannot connect to the server." I have more days with this issue, then days that I don't. I gets really frustrating because I volunteer my time for this. When I find a few minutes to update their website for them – I want to do it now. Does anyone else have this same issue, or is it something I'm doing wrong? I've checked my firewall, I don't see where it's blocking it. I've even disabled my firewall to see if I can connect… still no luck. I have been trying all day today.
Does Windows Vista have that option? I was thinking it didn't, but I will research that. Thanks for your help.
Yeah, I have called Tech Support before (a couple of times) about it. They don't seem to know why I have this problem off and on. I thought I would try to see if others have the same problem.
I did find where I could set up a My Network Places… still says it can't connect. I just updated the website Friday morning, but I can't today. I will try again tomorrow… if not I guess I will call them again. (I can't call now because my hubby isn't home and the kids get really loud when I'm on the phone.) Thanks for all your help.
