I was thinking about hosting my website with godaddy.com and was wondering if I pay monthly or yearly. Do they let you pay monthly? Because I can't find that info anywhere on there website.

hello, i made my godaddy account and i have the free hosting service that came with the domain and it has adds on top so i knew it was free. i downloaded filezilla and started uploading my html files along with the pictures that goes with the site but when i go to my website, no picture is shown. there is the bakcground color and everything but there is just no picture… is it the hosting service or i'm doing something wrong? I'm new at this! thanks!
I think the pictures are in the right location because it works when i test it.. i just dropped all my files including pictures in the same folder in the FTP client just as i did before in my other folder
I have this FTP client named Classic FTP for Macs and I have put my information correctly my ftp.domain.com and login and password but I still CAN'T connect! It says something about a firewall and I was wondering if this has to do with my godaddy account and if so how can I temporarily put it down?

I just want to purchase a domain name so it re-routes to a free web host I already have with a long name nobody could remember. Is GoDaddy the right service for this and is a domain name really only ten bucks for the whole year or is there something else I have to do?
i bought a domain, logged into my godaddy account and put in all the information in "forwarding."
yet when you type in the domain name in the url box, it forwards me to a page saying "THIS DOMAIN IS PARKED FREE AT GODADDY.COM" -
how can this be? i purchased the domain.. and i put in the variables in order for my existing website to show up.

i just purchased a domain on godaddy.
i want to forward a website i already have, which is – an i'm emphasizing this – hosted on a FREE HOSTING SITE with no DLS information – so i put in the forwarding information.
and yet – every single time i go to the site i purchased – it still takes me to the "this site is parked free on godaddy.com" page.
why isn't my forwarded site coming up!?
I know Godaddy is good, but I'm researching alternatives in terms of price, disk/bandwidth, and services. I don't need any of the typical e-commerce stuff…just a good overall package. Also, the availability of dedicated server packages with the availability of admin access is also good.
which one should i buy from? Netfirms is cheaper then godaddy, i don't understand why.. which one should i go with?
