Can I purchase a domain with one website cheaper, then transfer it to another site?

Only thing is that the website that charges $19.99 for the domain name has other services I want. Can I buy it at one site and transfer it to the other and still keep the lower price?

No. In order to transfer it to the other site you are going to have to pay them their registration fee. So if you did that you would pay the full price at both registrars. (Unless they have some sort of promotion that gives you a discount when you transfer. But that is unlikely and you would need to check with the specific registrar for that information.)

I did a transfer of domain name from one company to another before but it has a lot of hassles and I wouldn’t recommend you to do it. Hence, I would recommend you to stick one web hosting company which register your domain name for you too.
