Godaddy & SMTP (outgoing mail)?
Posted on Aug 21, 2009 under GoDaddy.com | 6 CommentsHi,
I’ve recently set up a godaddy account, and I am trying to set up my email accounts via Mozilla Thunderbird.
I’ve followed the tutorials on GoDaddy and I can receive the emails perfectly. But when I try to reply or compose a new message, it doesn’t want to work. It just says "Sending of message failed".
I’ve set up the smtp settings as follows:
Port 80
Server name = smtpout.secureserver.net
Username = myemail@domain.com
Secure connection: none.
Additionally, I have set up 250 relays per day on my email account.
Any help would be appreciated
How do you check the services on your computer? thanks!

If you know how to do all of that then you should know how to check your services running on your computer, once you fine those go ahead and restart the SMTP protocol. Pretty easy.

It would be best to not use godaddy’s mail server. I have my own domain with them and I use google apps. You recieve mail at that domain like md@urdmain.com, But you use googles UI, and there POP and SMTP, or even IMAP i belive. If you dont want to use google apps. you can just call GoDaddy and they will help you. They have great customer support.
