Godaddy & SMTP (outgoing mail)?

Hi,
I’ve recently set up a godaddy account, and I am trying to set up my email accounts via Mozilla Thunderbird.

I’ve followed the tutorials on GoDaddy and I can receive the emails perfectly. But when I try to reply or compose a new message, it doesn’t want to work. It just says "Sending of message failed".

I’ve set up the smtp settings as follows:
Port 80
Server name = smtpout.secureserver.net
Username = myemail@domain.com
Secure connection: none.

Additionally, I have set up 250 relays per day on my email account.

Creating password protected pages in Dreamweaver using GoDaddy?

I would like to create some password-protect pages. I am using Dreamweaver 8 and my site is hosted on GoDaddy. What do I need to do to get this going? Is there something with GoDaddy’s hosting that will allow me to do it, or do I need to program it in a specific way?

As far as I know, I’m doing it correctly. You use your godaddy account username/password, a long with the address of your domain name, and the port 21. But it won’t let me connect. I’m using filezilla.

Can anyone help me?

using godaddy for my website?

I am using godaddy and i uploaded my files but when i type the address in the address bar i have to put index.html at the end, otherwise it just loads a blank screen.
Does anyone know why?

I’ve purchased 2 domain names. One from a friend the other one from Godaddy, but when I typed the names in the?

I’ve got 2 domain names:
1. fromfriend.com
2. fromgodaddy.com

when I typed www.fromfriend.com in the address bar, I see:
/Parent Directory
_private/
cgi-bin/
images/

But, when I type www.fromgodaddy.com, I got pages that contains words like "from" "go" or "daddy". Basically, it looks like I’m googling these 3 words.

Why is there a difference? I thought I was just purchasing a domain, and there was nothing fancy about it. Were they set up differently?

Why Godaddy is the worst?

I have bought godaddy virtual server and its really annoying. First they advertise lot of promises and when they recieve the money their support is rediculous. Most of features of Godaddy create troubles and setup is really a headache. And we have to setup their sever again and again as it stops working. Can anybody suggest if there is any fourm or information available for Godaddy as we already have paid lot of money to godaddy and we can not change our server at this point of time.

Cheap domain name, full DNS control and FREE whois privacy?

I already have a main domain and hosting for 3 years but I want another domain to use that is a lil shorter (its the initials). I need to have full control of it and I really prefer the whois privacy to be included unless it SUPER CHEAP! Thanks =D

Does hostgator-pro.com really give you a free domain or website when you order through them?

I’m about to switch to hostgator and I saw this website and if I could get a free domain or website that would be great but should I try them or just go ahead and order through hostgator.com?
