You first purchase a hosting contract from whichever host you want to use. The hosting company will tell you what the DNS servers are for your use.
Then you go to the Domain Registrar, log into your domain, and enter the DNS servers in the DNS fields.
It takes 48 hours for DNS servers world wide to upgrade.
