How do you reply to emails forwarded from your Hostgator domain?

I have a website, the domain is hosted on Hostgator, and I’ve created an email account, example: info@example.com, and I forward those emails to my gmail account, example: example@gmail.com, and all of the emails show up and I am able to read them just fine. I am curious as to whether I can respond to those emails from my gmail account and have the response sent from "info@example.com" without having to log in to hostgators email clients. Is there any way to do that?
Right now when I hit "reply" to the emails that are forwarded from the domain to my gmail account, the response send from the gmail account (example@gmail.com), not from the domain account. How do I configure this? (Step-by-step would be MUCH appreciated!)
