I don’t want to end up with someone who is going to go under…so I’d like a web hosting site that’s pretty stable…and inexpensive. Ideas?
im having issues i have a couple sites that piggyback JS’s off my domain and i have a ton of bandwidth thats not why i ask this but my server traffic is increasing dramatically and i think it is from clients hosted via godaddy; im getting way too many unique hits per day; and im curious if the godaddy site is counting a unique hit for each call to a script or per page or what exactly.
My website has a static IP address… but basically I can’t go just by Google Analytics alone right now because there is traffic on my domain on many pages where there is no googlebot code. So the only way I have to show me all traffic at once is AWstats. I have very aggressive SEO and all that but I launched a site this week hosted on GoDaddy and now somehow I am also seeing a very large spike in traffic that doesn’t make sense really; honestly my unique hits a day went from about 70ish to over 200 in a couple days somehow. I cant really use the reffering urls thing either because I can refresh a page a couple thousands times per day possibly. Im trying to figure out if the first time the script is called if thats a UNIQUE hit and no other call from any other page on that site is unique or what exactly.
Ok and so it’s not confusing my site has no association with GoDaddy at all… but a couple of my clients are hosted on it unfortunately…
I just bought a domain and host etc for a site on GoDaddy.
and i’m doing this set up a web portfolio for myself. i’m about to go to college for art and i need something a little more professional than a flickr, you know.
So i want something smooth like a one page site that just uses javascripts like a light box.
but for one, GoDaddy is so confusing.
and 2 i can not find one Lightbox Tutorial that makes any sense or is just really simple and clear to the point of EXACTLY what to do.

im trying to decide between godaddy service and yahoo service. Whats best and how? and with yahoo i know you caant have a user creat an account and access it when ever they want, can godaddy? and if so can the users contact other users?

hehe, i got it guys. I just wanted to redirect the page to my affiliate link. So for people searching this answer, go to Domain manager and then click forwarding.
use that site for my web page also? or can i transfer the name to a free web hosting site?
