I want to put up a couple websites. Do I have to pay for hosting for each website? (Using Hostgator)?

Posted on Dec 26, 2009 under hostgator.com |

I would like to put up 3 websites. Say Hostgator charges 20 bucks a month for hosting. Do I have to pay 60 bucks for all the websites or do I only pay 20 and that covers a certain number of websites. The reason I’m confused is because in the price it says "unlimited domains"

  1. Hi

I think this information can be useful for you. If you plan to get your website, here is one good free web hosting provider to choose -http://www.000webhost.com/225582.html

They provide hosting absolutely free, there is no catch. You get 1500 MB of disk space and 100 GB bandwidth. They also have cPanel control panel which is amazing and easy to use website builder. Moreover, there is no any kind of advertising on your pages.

  2. I would recommend http://www.WebPricedRight.com

They have 24/7 free support and some of the best prices I’ve found. They also have great hosting deals and I’ve never had an issue with down time.

I have used over half a dozen companies over the last 9 years. I am a Graphic Designer and I service over 20 clients. Most of the service providers that I used promised the world but just raised their prices the next year. For the last 3 years I have been working with Web Priced Right. I wasn’t sure at first because their prices were relatively low compared to other options out there. It was the best decision I’ve ever made!

I am currently hosting over 40 websites with them and never once have had a second of down time. They have never raised their prices on me and the tech support is unreal. They have some of the most experienced and knowledgeable technical staff that I have ever worked with.

  3. No, you just have to pay for each additional domain name registration.
Actually Hostgator doesn’t offer a free domain name with their hosting so you have to pay for the first domain name ($15) and for the each additional domain name. The actual hosting for the additional domain names is free. You pay just for their registration.

All of these hosts support unlimited domains: http://www.tophostingpicks.com

iPage has the best offer right now.
Their standard price is $84/year ($6.95) but they have
a 50% sale, one year of hosting for $42.00.

    Their plan includes:

    Unlimited disk space
    Unlimited bandwidth
    Free domain name

    Price: $42/year ($3.50)

They have one of the most popular hosting platforms, which currently hosts over a million websites. They’re also one of the oldest hosting companies, founded in 1998.

  4. Hi,

With your example with Host Gator, you only need to pay 20 bucks for hosting three (or even more) websites.

In addition to the hosting fee (from Host Gator in this example), you also need to pay for the domain registrations, but that is really cheap. You can get a domain registration from GoDaddy for less than ten bucks per year.

It is all explained quite clearly at http://www.HostingMultipleDomainNames.com – with Host Gator you should probably look at the information for Addon domains.

    Cheers!

P.S. You can get good quality multiple domain hosting way cheaper than 20 bucks per month… Check the website below.

  5. you need to pay only $20 if multiple domains are supported in your plan. the domain which you give while registering will be the main www folder. Contents of other domains you create in the control panel will be in sub folder inside the main www folder.

  6. Hello there,

If you purchase the baby package, you can host unlimited domains, this means you can have as many website as you want. However, you register a domain (different from hosting) you have to pay for each registration. I recommend you buy your domain through Godaddy.com as they’re cheaper than hostgator (but have the website hosted through host gator)

They’ve got a special on now at host gator, you might want to check it out: http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-2416458-10408495
