How to forward my GoDaddy domain?
Posted on Jan 04, 2010 under GoDaddy.com | 4 CommentsSo at first my domain was forwarding great to my t35 hosting. But than I tried using GoDaddy’s free hosting, and it has that annoying ad, so I’m trying to forward it back to the t35 hosting, but it never is. Everything is set up to forward to it. The nameservers are checked to Forward my domain, the forwarding is done, but it still doesn’t work and forwards to the GoDaddy free hosting.
The site is http://www.risingimpactmusic.com, but I can’t change the layout without first forwarding it to http://www.risingimpact.t35.com/home.html . Help please.

If you setup the domain name on their hosting and then try to forward the domain name afterwards, you will more than likely need to update the domain’s A Record to point to their forwarding IP address. I don’t know why, but their system doesn’t automatically do this when you setup forwarding in this situation. A DNS lookup of your domain name shows that it is still pointing to one of their shared hosting IP addresses. You can use the instructions below to update the A record to the correct IP.
1. Log in to your Account Manager (at Go Daddy).
2. In the My Products section, click Domain Manager.
3. Click the domain name for which you want to access the Total DNS Control.
4. In the Total DNS section, click Total DNS Control and MX Records.
5. In the A Host area, click the Edit icon and complete the following:
Host Name
Type an @ symbol.
Points to IP Address
Type 64.202.189.170
TTL
Select 1 Hour.
6. Click OK.

Hi!
Is it OK if I ask something kinda off topic? I’m trying to view this page on my new iPad but it won’t show up properly, do you have any solutions? Should I try and find an update for my software or something? Thanks in advance! Jennine x
