Where can I get a domain name for the cheapest? And reliable?
Posted on Jan 14, 2010 under domain news and reports |I want to make a website, but what is the best site to buy from? The highest I’ve seen is about 10 dollars yearly from GoDaddy, and I recently got 10 dollars in my paypal for free and well GoDaddy is more expensive. What’s a better domain seller that is reliable and cheaper?
Does GoDaddy have it’s own servers too? Or do I have to pay for a server aswell when getting a website up?

you can host your own web server if you know how. go to dyndns.com and register there for free. enter this information in your router configure. in your router route the traffic to your webserver. now when ever someone type that dyndns URL it will come straight to your webserver and open the webpage. eg. at dyndns you selected beginner.homeip.net as your URL. enter this in your router configuration. open port 5800 and allow access. this will bring the person straight to your webserver.
Secondly research synology.com and you can purchase your own server for $ 200/- this is a web server, a file station a photo station and much more. it is Linux based and everything you need in a server is yours. now you can host your own websites up to 30 of them.

try domains-and-hosting.info
they are a godaddy reseller but have many domains quite cheap.
they are reliable and are featured on the Webmaster Shop where they regularly give away free domain names.
if you intend keeping the site for more than a year, then you also need to consider the domain registration fees for each of the following years. you will find some domain companies giving you a cheap domain this year but hitting you hard next year.
Domains and hosting seem to have a strong value spread across the years.
good luck.

you can buy domain .info just under $1 at godaddy.com
and you can get free hosting at freehostia, or bytehost… but if you have more money, you can get premium hosting at hostgator.com

Have you heard about Office Live Small Business? It sounds like it might be a good fit. You can choose your own domain name. It’s template-based, so you don’t need to know or learn how to code. And, it’s extremely inexpensive. Remember, you get what you pay for with free website building services — like someone else’s ads all over your site. Office Live Small Business is ad free, and it supports Google AdSense.
Check it out at http://www.smallbusiness.officelive.com.
Good luck with your new site!

…
As you may know a domain name is just a name, not a real website. If you are going to create your website: 1- Buy a domain name. A domain name is a name you want to call your website (ex: http://www.yahoo.com). To get a domain name, you have to pay an annual fee to a registrar for the right to use that name. 2- Buy a web hosting service to provide your online space and enable you to get your website online at your purchased domain name.
If you want to start your website I recommend purchase your domain and hosting together. In this way it is possible to get your domain for free. Some hosting services offer this gift today.
As an experienced webmaster I recommend BlueHost service which I’m sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements. They have a really great offer for hosting & I have used them for over 3 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them.
You can reach reviews about this web hosting provider and its latest DISCOUNT COUPONS at:

They also offer "Free Site Builder" that helps you build your web pages without difficulty if you are not skilled in using any website creating program. (WYSIWYG: What You See Is What You Get) You can use this service optionally. You can also create the pages offline with your favorite program (DreamWeaver, FrontPage, Microsoft Publisher, etc.), and then upload them to your web host. This is another easy way to get your website online.

* This service was awarded “The Best Web Host OF The Year”.
* If you sign up for this service you will have $75 credits to advertise your website with the google & yahoo search engines for free!
