I tried signing up for hosting with HostGator to build my website, but didn’t get no welcome email. Why?

It’s been five days after I signed up for hosting service place for $12.00 a month, and now, I have not gotten any email containing my login information. They said they would email me again time and time again, and I checked everywhere and didn’t get it. I’m about to file a chargeback on my credit card to get $12.00 credited back to my account.
Which hosting service will work for me? Please help. I signed up for GoDaddy.com for my domain name and I signed up at HostGator and typed in the domain name I owned from GoDaddy.com. But I got no email, never login, etc.. Is HostGator a rip off?

At $12 a month it is a rip off, but then, I don’t know what hosting package you went for and whether you are going to pay by the month (always higher) or by the year. GoDaddy is NOT the best site either. See: http://nodaddy.com/

HostGator is not a rip off. When you signed up for a hosting service, you have to register for a domain name with that same company. If you registered for a domain at GoDaddy, then you would have to transfer that domain name to HostGator to be able to login to that cPanel. Make sure the Dns servers are set to ns1445 and 45 on Dns one and two. Then, within 24 to 48 hours, you should be able to login with that domainame.com/cpanel.
