yes, I would sue …make sure you are within the statue of limitations and make sure your have a good reason for letting it go so long. Meaning contract terms.
I would……take it to small claims court with proof of what they owe you. If they don’t pay file a judgment on their real property, real estate for example. Or, their personal property, a car or boat for example.
I think that if you have all the paperwork or proof of any sort you should, in a small claims court and you would not need an attorney. However, beeing persistant on past dues could work too.
You have to weigh the expense of the suit against the amount you can get. It sounds like you can do it in small claims court and that doesn’t cost a lot. You can file the papers yourself. If you have to hire an attorney, they will eat up $750 pretty fast.
After you get a judgement, you still have to go through the process of collecting the money. So you have to figure those costs in too.
