Posted on Nov 29, 2010 under hostgator.com | Okay, so I’m starting my own computer repair business. =D …and like all good businesses, I need a website. I purchased my domain name, and I built a custom css/html website using Dreamweaver. I tested a few of the pages together from my browser, and in Dreamweavers "Live View" mode. All my links and images for the site work fine on my laptop, and seem quite stable. I decided to upload only my index page to HostGator/public_html. (from which files are located in a root folder on my desktop) I uploaded my index.html; style.css; and a folder called images which contains, of course… my images. Here’s the problem: Not everything on my index page is showing up! Some links, occasionally the background… here see for yourself! www.computerguysofwny.com What could be happening here? Could one of you kind and caring people, please shed some light on this situation? I’m really stressing over it right now. Thank you in advance!

Posted on Nov 26, 2010 under hostgator.com | I’m trying to find a solution but it’s really difficult and I’m overwhelmed. I signed up for a server and domain with Hostgator and received their follow-up email with my username and password and ways to get into the control panel. I installed wordpress and when I try to visit the admin area of my site (or my site in general), it says "Error: Server Not Found". I followed all tutorials exactly right, so I’m not sure if this is my problem or Hostgator’s. Please help!

Posted on Nov 20, 2010 under hostgator.com | I understand that I will be able to create emails through the new hosting. I currently have 4 emails which I can view at one time through the yahoo mail client. Will I lose yahoo as an email client if I delete my yahoo hosting. Hope I am clear. Thanks.

Posted on Oct 18, 2010 under hostgator.com | I have a site set up in dreamweaver all working and such.
I also have ftp through dreamweaver.
How do I put the site there?
There are directories in the root, like www, public_ftp, publuc_html and I don’t know what to do.
I manage to call my Index Default.html and put it in the www folder, then when you load my website it would automatically load that, but all the images were not displaying and such as they have not been uploaded, as I have no idea where to put them…
What directories do I put everything, or how do I configure my site for hostgator?
Posted on Oct 18, 2010 under hostgator.com | Right now my url says www.ebonygrace.com/archives/94
I don’t want it to be like that because the url doesn’t really say anything about what the article is about.
Is there a way to change the "archives" to "articles" and change the "94" to a keyword specific name or at least the title of the article?
