Is Hostmonster.com Good for website hosting?

is hostmonster.com down?

I dont seem to be able to get our web site or in to webmail all day, just wondering if others have the same problem. I did email them during the week to say I had problem with webmail and they said that they had a new login in screen which seemed to be ok but now the web is down , so perhaps they are working on it over the weekend.

Is HostMonster the right host for my purposes?

I need to create a website for my Boy Scout troop. The site will most likely include pictures, upcoming events, and other information for our troop. There are only about 20 kids in my troop, and maybe 10 adults. So we won’t be needing much site space or bandwith. HostMonster seems to be what we’re looking for, and the price seems decent. Are there any problems with this host that would affect such a small, non-business site?

what host should i choose from justhost, hostgator, ipage or hostmonster?

i am starting a small web-based business with blog and can’t decide on what offer is best.
i am looking for best uptime, easy cpanel site setup, e-commerce support state of the art, lotsa advertising credits for google and social media like FB.
i am also considering other hosts like inmotion hosting (i think best response and uptime) and godaddy (45 mil domains, nr1)

The website is mostly set up, but I need recommendations on what program I should use and how to set up FTP with it.
I used windows vista and I’d like a free program.
