Helloooo. Lunarpages web hosting; any good?
Also, one person complained that they couldnt cancel their subscription with them, any other similar cases?

I have a shared server account with Lunarpages and found out that the YouTube clone scripts like ClipShare and Rayzz are not compatible without switching to a pricey VPS or Dedicated Server.
The needed scripts/software needed to be on the servers are…

- Mplayer + Mencoder (http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html)
- flv2tool (http://inlet-media.de/flvtool2)
- Libogg + Libvorbis (http://www.xiph.org/downloads)
- LAME MP3 Encoder (http://lame.sourceforge.net)
I’m wondering what kinds of ways I can get around this. I have thought of running my own server just to have these being pointed to. Anyone have any ideas?

How you find this Lunarpages hosting coupon ? I really interested in owning one of it!
I need to have the following for a website, will lunarpages.com be able to handle this all?
1. Shopping cart (paypal is fine)
2. Customers able to download PDF
3. Multiple autoresponders
4. Mailing list sign-up form (as well as other forms that I don't know of yet)
5. Total WYSIWYG
6. Blog
I guess I already know that lunarpages offers most of these things, but can I get it all for the "basic" package? And, will I have to pay any extra for some of the options above?
On www.lunarpages.com, it shows all that is offered, but I don't know enough about websites to understand everything I am looking at.
I called the customer service line, but I got off the phone not knowing much more than when I called. From what she told me, basically, it just gets more expensive as you have more bandwith.

Do I have to change my DNS or do I just have to forward my web address to Lunarpages? I just bought the webhosting plan today. Am I supposed to wait for a confirmation from my host that tells me my account is now active?
I have a website hosted with Lunarpages. Last week I found that the standard 404 error page had been replaced with a page using my domain name to recommend links to dating and other questionable sites. When I complained about this unauthorized use of the domain name, they rewrote their Terms of Service document after the fact to give themselves the right to use a clients domain name in any way they wish. Is this legal?
The shopping cart is powered by sohoadmin???? I am unable to go to a sku and edit the information. I have to create a whole new sku or delete the prior one if I need to update information, such as, prices, colors, quantity available.
Does anyone have any pointers for me?
