I have a variety of TLDs, godaddy’s renewal rates are about double the rates of when they first attract you as a customer. Here’s what they charge per TLD:
6.com$7.99 $49.02
18.us$7.99 $143.82
25.cc$19.99 $499.75
8.me$18.99 $151.92
5.cc$19.99 $99.95
1.biz$7.99 $8.17
31private reg$9.99 $309.69
1.net$6.99 $7.17
2.us$7.99 $15.98
1.com$7.99 $8.17
4.ws$12.99 $51.96
4.org$7.99 $32.68
2.co$27.99 $55.98
1.info$8.99 $9.17
1.net$6.99 $7.17
110TOTAL DOMAINS$1,450.60 TOTAL (about $13.19 per domain)
Anyone know of a better (cheaper) registrar that doesn’t scam people on renewal rates the next year?
i looked at godaddy and dreamhost – dreamhost is cheaper
those are the only to real legit ones i know of. are there others that are even cheaper? im only looking for domain registration – not hosting.
Private registration costs too much if you want to apply privacy to a large portfolio of domain names. Is there a solution? The registrar that I use charges $9.95 a year per domain name. I have close to 200 domain names. It costs me a lot to renew my domain names already. I don’t want to be paying so much for privacy too.
I have 30+ domain names and GoDaddy is always increasing its pricing. Who should I transfer all my accounts to to save me money. I do not want any introductory offer specials! I need long term registration and hosting.
I am going to be purchasing a domain for the sole purpose of redirecting to a youtube channel. Who is the cheapest provider for this service?
Thanks for the information, I will check out 1and1. That was the purpose of this post, to get some web host companies to checkout.
@Donna, you’re an idiot, why even waste your time to respond to this. I was just looking for a cheap reliable company to do something so simple as to redirect www.a.com to www.b.com, and not use any other services from said provider. I know there are many that will do it for around $10 a year or even less. And I own a computer because that is how I make my living. I actually work in a datacenter and know many programming languages. So why don’t you get off the internet..
Sorry, people just get on my nerves. I joined here to help people and to ask basic simple questions when I don’t have time to skim through 10,000 google results.
i want to buy my domain name from here, has anyone tried it? it’s pretty cheap and seems good but i don’t want to be running into annoyances?
